The primary goal of the South Brunswick Youth Lacrosse Club boys and girls program is to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun and competitive environment. The coaching staff is focused on player development, rotation of positions (for those individuals who want to learn more than one position) and a team concept to playing the game.
South Brunswick Youth Lacrosse Club will compete in the CNJYLL during the spring season. The CNJYLL is the officially recognized youth lacrosse league affiliated with US Lacrosse, and its local chapter, the NJ Lacrosse Foundation. The league is governed by it’s own executive committee and operates by an adopted set of rules and regulations. It is the mission of South Brunswick Youth Lacrosse and the CNJYLL to promote and develop excellence, sportsmanship, participation and fun in the game of youth lacrosse and, consistent with these goals, to grow the sport of lacrosse.
South Brunswick Youth Lacrosse Club competes with other teams from the Central and Southern areas of New Jersey. The games are played with the intention of balancing a winning attitude along with assuring player development and having fun. It is the responsibility of the coaching staff, parents and players to ensure that the game’s integrity as a youth sport is preserved so every participant has a positive experience. As with every other competitive sport, the team will pursue a goal of success through winning, progress, advancement or any other measurement that illustrates improvement and growth.
All players must be members of US Lacrosse to participate in this program. To register with US Lacrosse, please go to www.uslacrosse.org/membership/index.phtml to register or re-new your existing membership.
